Origami has inspired Matt LaBoone since he was 7 years old when he first learned to fold on the school bus. He continues to find inspiration in the details of everyday life and highlights the delicacy and beauty of nature with paper. LaBoone finds the restriction to use one piece of paper with no cuts a rewarding challenge for creativity. In addition to folding pieces, LaBoone makes his own paper. This has allowed him to best control and customize properties he wants; color, texture, thickness and crispness – all of which will inform the finished model.
